SAN FRANCISCO’S LEGENDARY SIR FRANCIS DRAKE HOTEL LAUNCHES “PROHIBITION DAYS.”

The legendary Sir Francis Drake Hotel will kick off its first annual Prohibition Days celebration in February 2010.  This will include a week-long series of fantastic and risqué events leading up to the first annual Bootlegger’s Ball to benefit San Francisco’s own City of Dreams.

Tuesday, Feb 16: Cocktail & Burlesque Classes, and 20’s inspired Fashion Show.

Calling all divas, dames, cool cats, and hot mamas: join us for a Burlesque dance class that will teach you to shake it with confidence and class.  Guys (and gals!), learn how to make specialty cocktails circa 1920’s at our Cocktail Class led by Kimpton Hotel’s lead Master Mixologist Jacques Bezuindenhout and everyone will enjoy a 20’s inspired Fashion Show compliments of Costumes on Haight.

Thursday, Feb 18: Union Square Speakeasy Bar Crawl

Speakeasy Bar Crawl beginning at Bar Drake (450 Powell St) at 6pm featuring a signature Prohibition Days cocktail special, continuing on to Swig (561 Geary St), and ending at Bourbon and Branch (501 Jones St).  The password for Bourbon and Branch is “Bootlegger’s Ball” (shhh..)

Friday, Feb. 19: 5 Course Prix-Fixe Dinner and Gin Pairing in Scala’s Wine Salon

Enjoy our 20’s themed prix fixe menu in the Wine Salon as our mixologist shakes up your gin cocktail pairings. Trust us – You won’t want to miss it!
